I feel like a kid in the candy store whenever I get a new cover for one of my books. This time it is courtesy of the amazing Jason Longstreet, who has also done the cover for Monsters, Monsters, Everywhere and the Eye in the Lace. I commissioned him to do a new cover for my first Greenland Diaries book.
I had cycled through a bunch of random covers because nothing really made me happy. I started with a stock image from Amazon. Then I sort of moved on to illustrations courtesy of Alex Ostman, which were fantastic but not really meant for book covers.
I wanted a straight shot of the Unnamed, but it still be considerably abstract. Jason knocked it out of the park. The color scheme is perfect. The style of detail. The posture of the monster. All of it. He even advised me on font color, which was super helpful since I struggle so ardently at it. To learn more about Jason Longstreet you check out his square store or find him on Instagram. The guy is supremely talented. He’s focused on releasing a comic currently, and I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
So yeah, I continue to work hard on this book series and improve it. I hope to spread it out there. The monsters are highly addictive, there is a ton of suspense within the story, and the universe is expansive. Check out my bookstore for great deals on paperback books. Thank you for reading.
Have a great week!
