Visit me at Crypticon Minneapolis

realcrypticon2016

Well, it is that time of year again. It is time for my annual frolick into the elaborate and wonderful world of horror. Crypticon Minneapolis is this weekend. This will be my sixth year at this marvelous convention. Wow. What a journey. “Just a small town girl. Living in a lonely world.” Had to say that of course.

Like I said. Six years. Back in my day the con had real machetes wielded by real Jason’s, not those cheap plastic blades from Savers. Seriously though, this event is awesome. For being a horror convention based on blood and bile, the attendees are some of the nicest people imaginable. Multiple genres of everything are welcome there. It isn’t just your standard slasher fare. I believe this year they have a bunch of the Hellraiser cast here, plus Twin Peaks, and many more.

I’ll be in the hallway outside the vendor room at a table selling books with my buddy Joseph Crowe, who will be attending his first Crypticon and selling his science fiction novel Stony Point Station. I’m excited for him to experience this one. I’ll be peddling my new short story collection extravaganza Monsters, Monsters, Everywhere along with the Greenland Diaries. Copies are limited, so make sure you stop by for yours before they’re gone.

The vending room hours for me are:

Friday – 4:30 – 10:00 PM.

Saturday – 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM.

Sunday – N/A (I’ll be at the Viking’s party my parents are throwing)

So yeah, please stop on by if you want. I’ll be happy to talk to you, point at things, seem smart, whatever. This is a fantastic event, like I said above, and I highly recommend it, especially for families (the irony of suggesting such a thing to a horror convention is not lost on me).

Again, you can find the main page of the con here. I love being at Crypticon.

Hope to see you there!
