Monday Musings 5/6

Cover Image

Happy Monday everyone! Because I’ve mismanaged my KDP Select promotions, I have tons of free book giveaways for Kindle. Today, you can get my collection of short stories called Seven Monsters for free by clicking here.

  1. In just a couple of weeks I’ll be at MSP Spring Con at the fairgrounds. It runs May 18th and 19th. To find out more about it click here. I love MSP Fall Con, but this is my first time at Spring Con, so I’m ultra excited. I’ve been trying to get in for quite some time. I’ll be posting more reminders about it as time approaches, so stay tuned.
  2. Next Wednesday (May 15th) at Dreamhaven Books in South Minneapolis I will be part of the Speculations Reading Series. I’ll be reading from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. To learn more about Dreamhaven books you can click here. Echoing the same sentiment as above, I’ve always wanted to be a part of this event. I don’t think I’ve done a reading in a year, so it’ll be nice to get back to it.
  3. As a “side hustle” I’m starting to take on some more editing and consulting jobs. If you’re interested in my services feel free to email me at for more information. I’m actually looking forward to helping other people on their journeys. I spend so much time pouring over my own content. The break from it sounds nice, while still doing what I love.
  4. I’ve noticed on all the social media outlets I subscribe to that many writers and artists struggle overall with getting their work out there, staying motivated, and being comfortable with their life decisions. God, I’m really glad I’m not the only one feeling that way. Misery does love company I guess. I want everyone to do well with their work, but I don’t feel so hopeless knowing everyone deals with the same insecurities as me.
  5. One final bit of business jargon. This musings set is full of it. I did add some new combos onto my Square Store. You can get a variety of things now for good prices. I’m cleaning out my garage and inventory, so my shipping operation is going to be more efficient. Thank you everyone who has had patience with me during these countless business transitions. Logistics is not my specialty.

  • Finished Baki Season Two. It was fantastic. Still, it is only the second most ridiculous martial arts anime around, with One Punch Man still being number one.
  • I was really happy with the GOT episode “The Battle for Winterfell.” I know some people were displeased with it, which is fine. Considering what a massive culmination of plot it was (eight seasons of tension) I thought it hit on all the right notes. I don’t know that I could do any better as a storyteller.
  • Barry on HBO is amazing. I’m really, really enjoying it. Great anti-hero with excellent acting.
  • Finished my edit of the film script I wrote. Ready to jump into the next phase of production. Never thought I could write a screenplay. It was just a pipe dream. Just like the rest of this.
  • One last reminder that Seven Monsters if free today on the Kindle. Click here.
  • Have a safe and healthy week!
